This Paper Pumpkin Blog Hop is full of alternative inspiration for the latest Paper Pumpkin kit. The April kit is aptly named So Cool! It features popsicles, watermelon, strawberries and other summer themed, cool treats. The cards are popsicle and watermelon shaped and you can't help but smile while you are playing with the pieces. The kit coordinates perfectly with the Ice Cream Corner paper by Stampin' Up!
After I made a card or two as directed, I had the inspiration that these pieces would make the perfect scrapbook layout. It reminded me of summertime fun!
Each page started with a 12" x 12" piece of Mossy Meadow card stock. The first page has a Crushed Curry banner across the top. The scalloped edge was made using a die from the Penned Flowers dies that will be available in the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog on May 4. I repeated the banner on the bottom of the second page using a bit of Crushed Curry for the scalloped edge and the popsicle piece of designer series paper from the Ice Cream Corner paper. The larger, multicolored popsicle is the front of a card from the So Cool paper pumpkin kit. The white popsicle is the inside of the card and will be perfect for a journaling box. The "Hey There" and "you are so cool" were stamped using the stamp set and die cuts that were included in the So Cool kit. The smaller popsicle, rainbow and fruit are all stickers that are also part of the kit. I used four 6 1/4" x 4 1/4" mats that I will add photos to shortly. It will be the perfect page to record Summer Fun with my grandson.
