Here are two views of the Fancy Gate Fold card we made on our Zoom class recently. It's a beautiful card that opens slightly differently so that your card has a more unique feel to it! The one on the left used Peony Garden patterned papers and the Tasteful Touches stamp set and dies. The card on the right is showing a different Peony Garden and the stamps are from the Life Is Beautiful stamp set- one of my current "go to" sets! Well, let's get started making some cards!
Start by cutting your papers to the following sizes:
Card base: 4 1/4" x 11" and score it at 2 3/4" from one end. Then turn it around and score the other end at 2 3/4" as well. Fold each end toward the center. They should just meet.
Rectangle 3" x 4", (I used the largest stitched so sweetly scalloped die.)
Whisper White (2) 5 1/4" x 4" AND 3 5/8" x 2 1/2"
Patterned Paper for front: 3 3/4" x 3"
Patterned Paper for inside flap 4" x 2 1/2" (Could be the same patterned paper as the other piece)
Adhesive and Stamps/Inks
Next watch this quick video that shows you how to assemble the card. .
Here is my finished card from that video!
I really love this layout! It's so much fun and I think it's got just the right amount of white space to decorate! I used the Gather Together Bundle for the stamping and die cutting.
I also made a Christmas card. For this one I used the trees from Rooted in Nature and a sentiment from Itty Bitty Christmas!
Now, go pick out some pretty papers and a stamp set! You are ready to make a beautiful card!
