The Double Wonder is an easy and fun method to make 11 cards out of TWO 6" x 12" pieces of Designer Series Papers (DSP). (To my knowledge, this was first shared with many SU demonstrators by Shannon West.) Any double-sided designer series- or pretty patterned papers- will work. The colors should co-ordinate with each other so you can mix and match.
As you can see from the photos, you make 10 cards in three different layouts- and one "bonus" card that is different from the rest.
Here's what you need to get started:
-2 6" x 12" pieces of coordinating patterned paper. (If it has an obvious up and down pattern, be sure the pattern is pointed up when the 12 inch side is horizontal.)
-11 card bases, cut 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and scored at 4 1/4". These should be in colors that match the patterned papers or whisper white/very vanilla card stock.
-4 pieces of neutral cardstock- whisper white, very vanilla or a light coordinating color- cut 3 1/4" x 5".

Once you have the materials assembled, you will need to cut your 6" x 12" pieces of paper. You can layer them together and cut both at once or repeat these instructions for each piece.
Follow the diagram below.
First cut the 12" length into three sections at 3 1/2" and then at 4". You should have a 4 1/2" piece left. Each should be 6 inches wide. YOU WILL NEED TO DO THIS FOR BOTH 6" x 12" PIECES SO YOU CAN MIX AND MATCH YOUR PIECES.
1. Take the 3 1/2" x 6" piece and cut the 6" side at 2 1/4" and then 2 1/4" again. Then cut the 1 1/2" x 3 1/2" piece along the 3 1/2" side at 1 3/4". These pieces make the cards in the photo below. (I did mount two rectangles on a 4 x 5 1/4" piece of whisper white leaving a gap in the middle that I covered with the 3 /4" strip leftover from the 4" block.)
2.Take the 4" x 6" piece and cut 3/4" off the 6" side. Then turn it and cut it at 1" three times so you have 4 pieces of 1" x 5 1/4". Take three of your card bases and score the top flap at 1 1/4" and fold it back onto the front of the card. Adhere it in place. (The top of the card is now 1 1/4" shorter than the back of the card. See photos below.) Adhere two 1 x 5 1/4" strips onto the front of each card as pictured. (The 3/4" piece can be used on a card from the 3 1/2" block.)
Take the 4 1/2" x 6" piece and cut the 6" side in half at 3". Then turn and cut each of those at 1 1/2" and again at 1 1/2". Adhere three of the rectangles to each of the whisper white rectangles (5"x 3 1/4") mixing and matching. Then adhere to the front of a card base.
You will need to add sentiments and, if desired, ribbon and bling to each card. I hope you enjoyed making these cards.
