Here's the card I made for a recent SU Sketch Challenge hosted by a group of demonstrators. The criteria for the card was Fall and they provided a sketch complete with measurements. (I've included the sketch at the end of this post.)
I immediately knew I wanted to use a paper from the Plaid Tidings pack. I love the deep rich color of the plaids. There are several that definitely screamed "fall" to me. I also embossed the So Safron rectangle with the Tin Tile Embossing Folder. I seem to emboss any large piece of card stock. I love the texture it adds.
I then stamped my own background on the small Whisper White rectangle using the leaf stamps from the Beautiful Autumn stamp set and So Safron, Pumpkin Pie and Rich Razzleberry inks. I used a stitched rectangle die to cut out my sentiment (also from Beautiful Autumn) and matted it on a scrap of Rich Razzleberry. My ribbon is a retired (gasp) Rich Razzleberry! I then colored a rhinestone with blends- one in So Safron, one in Pumpkin Pie, and one in Blackberry Bliss. It came together rather quickly and I was quite pleased with it!
If you need inspiration, I suggest you try this layout! I think you'll find it as fun as I did!
